Music

Music has been a constant in my life since childhood, making it a natural extension of my work in medicine. I trained classically in piano and violin, performing in orchestras and as a solo pianist at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, and also played clarinet in the Purdue Varsity Band. Earlier in my career, this foundation also informed my academic work, including research exploring the role of music in the perioperative setting.

While grounded in classical training, my creative passion evolved into DJ-ing, particularly house music. I’ve been DJing since my early teens and continued through college, medical school, and training, including holding a resident DJ spot and performing a 7-hour set during the 2015 New York City Pride Parade. Today, DJing remains an important outlet for creativity and personal wellness.
